PetCam provides temporary browser-based audio and video rooms for casual pet check-ins. A room pass gives access to one private room for the selected maximum duration and is intended for one Pet device and one Human device.

PetCam is not an emergency, medical, safety, alarm, or professional monitoring service. You are responsible for your pet, your devices, your internet connection, and where the camera is placed.

Room codes are private access credentials. Only share a room code with people and devices you trust. Anyone with the code may be able to try to enter the room until it expires or is ended.

Payment is handled through hosted checkout. Prices shown on PetCam are inclusive of applicable tax where displayed. Final tax handling may be calculated during checkout based on customer location, product settings, and PetCam tax registrations.

PetCam may suspend or end access if the service is misused, if a room creates security or operational risk, or if continued access would breach these terms or applicable law.

The data controller for PetCam will be the company identified in the Company and Contact section once those details are completed. PetCam is designed without user accounts and without PetCam call recording.

PetCam may process the following categories of personal data:

• receipt email address, if you provide one;
• payment, tax, currency, receipt, and checkout metadata;
• room pass, room status, expiry, and room lifecycle metadata;
• hashed room code data and participant role status;
• technical data such as IP address, user agent, logs, and device/browser information;
• support messages and legal acknowledgement records.

PetCam processes this data to provide the room, complete checkout, issue receipts, prevent abuse and fraud, maintain security, answer support requests, meet tax/accounting duties, and comply with legal obligations.

The usual lawful bases are performance of a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. Optional analytics, marketing, or preference storage will only be used if enabled and allowed through cookie/storage settings.

Production service providers may include hosting, database, payment, tax, media routing, and email providers. Stripe may be used for hosted checkout and may process payment, fraud prevention, tax, customer, and transaction data. LiveKit may be used to route live audio/video room traffic for active rooms.

PetCam does not intentionally collect sensitive personal data and is not intended for monitoring people. If people may be visible or audible, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and informing them where required.

Room data is kept only as long as needed for the room lifecycle, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Receipt, payment, tax, accounting, and support records may be kept longer where needed for legal obligations or legitimate business needs.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You can contact PetCam using the support email below. If PetCam is established in Sweden, you may also contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.

PetCam currently uses necessary browser storage only. There are no PetCam analytics or marketing cookies active by default.

Necessary storage may be used to remember cookie/storage settings, support checkout and room flow, protect the service, and keep the site functioning. Necessary storage cannot be switched off through PetCam settings because the requested service depends on it.

Optional preference, analytics, and marketing categories are present in the settings logic but are not active unless PetCam explicitly enables those categories in configuration. Optional categories are blocked until the visitor has made a choice.

Stripe-hosted Checkout may use cookies and similar technologies on Stripe pages for payment, fraud prevention, security, and checkout operation. Those technologies are controlled by Stripe on Stripe surfaces.

You can review or change PetCam storage choices at any time.

PetCam room passes are short-lived digital services. At checkout you may be asked to request immediate access and acknowledge that this can affect withdrawal rights once the room has been used or the service has been fully performed.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, consumers normally have 14 days from the contract date to withdraw. The exact effect of immediate access depends on the service, use, completion, and applicable consumer law.

PetCam will consider refunds for duplicate charges, failed payment completion, rooms that cannot be started because of a PetCam service fault, or other cases required by law. Refunds are normally returned through the original Stripe payment method where available.

To request help with a refund or withdrawal, contact support@petcam.com with your receipt ID, payment email, room code if available, and a short description of the issue.

Use PetCam only for lawful, respectful, temporary pet check-ins. Do not use PetCam to monitor people without a lawful basis, record sensitive situations unlawfully, harass anyone, or bypass another person's privacy expectations.

Do not share room codes publicly, attempt to access rooms without permission, interfere with the service, overload the app, reverse engineer security controls, or use PetCam for illegal, abusive, or harmful activity.

You are responsible for camera placement, microphone use, local privacy or surveillance rules, device safety, and making sure your use of PetCam is appropriate for the environment.

PetCam aims to support accessible use through semantic headings, keyboard-accessible controls, readable contrast, visible focus states, and labels for interactive elements.
